A Grandma that is GREAT {and a little more...}

Growing up I LOVED spending time with my grandparents.
It was always a LONG drive to get to their homes.
My children are so lucky to have grandparents that live so close.
Not only do they have grandparents close by but they also have a GREAT grandma that lives down the road.
Great Grandma Jo stopped driving almost a year ago and this has limited her adventures
BUT
it means that we get to steal her to join in on ours!!!
The other night I called her and asked if she would like to go to the Natural History Museum with us.
She replied with...
"I have lived here all of my life and I have NEVER been to a museum... that sounds like fun."
So, Monday morning we went and picked Great Grandma Jo up and set out on our adventure.

We went and saw the butterflies in the special exhibit outside.
Even though we went early it was still HOT so we didn't get to spend to much time looking at the butterflies. The heat is no good for Bubba.
It was so fun watching Great Grandma Jo with the kids.
They loved having her there.

Great Grandma Jo told Regan that she had a potty and washing tub like they had on exhibit.
After that she asked Great Grandma Jo.... "Is that buggy from when you were little too??" and pretty much everything else we saw..... "is that from when you were little Grandma Jo??" Yes, even the dinosaurs. wink!
It was a wonderful day with Great Grandma Jo.
Tuesday Regan had ballet and wanted to invite Great Grandma Jo to come and watch.
Grandma Jo was excited to come and watch our little fairy dance around.
{and a little more...}
Today Regan and I got a YOU and ME date.
We went and saw the movie Nanny McPhee.
We LOVED it and gave it two thumbs up!!!
After we got home it was time for our weekly trip to the library.
Bubba LOVES the computer!!
Regan LOVES running into friends!!!
Tonight the kids and I took dinner over to a friend who had her sweet little baby on Friday.
She came three weeks early and is so tiny!!!
Congrats Costello family....
Mckenzie is such a doll!!!!!

Your blog is so uplifting! Thanks for sharing so many experiences with us. I also need to say thanks to Grandma Jo--she helps in ways no one else can! Thanks to you all. Love, Maw from Texas.

What a blessing Great Grandma Jo is. My kiddos have one remaining grandparent and I cherish the time they spend with her.
