The second part to Bubba's birthday was a backyard BBQ.
We had to wait until it was cooling off and the sun was over the backyard.
Bubba LOVES to be dunked under the water.
Don't worry Daddy holds his breath for Bubba. :)
Birthday party friends.
Regan always gets the best gifts for her Bubba.
She picked a bike horn that she honked in his "good" ear.
He LOVED it! :)
We sang to Bubba and...............
he got a little help blowing out his candles.
My sweet, sweet boy!!!!
This is where the not so good part of his day started.
Bubba might only be 11 but his body is much older
and it is so HARD on him to do anything.
By 6:30 it was past his bedtime and he was starting to have a hard time.
Before long he started to have seizures. :(
We had to give him an injection and then his seizures
stopped, we tucked him into bed and his birthday fun was over.
It breaks my heart that something as simple as having fun can be so hard on his little body.
(it took an entire day to recover.)
We hated that Bubba did not get to join us for the fireworks,
it used to be his favorite part of the day when his body
would let him stay awake long enough to enjoy it.
We still ended the day on a high note with LOTS of fun little fireworks.
My dear sweet Bubba,
I can't even begin to imagine my life with out you in it. I am so grateful to be your Mommy and love you with all of my heart. I love how dearly you love life and everyone of us. I am grateful that I have been able to care, love, and take care of you for 11 years. You are such a special child of God and there is a very special reason why you are in this very special body of yours. I could not help but burst into tears as I changed your diaper today, what a blessing it is for me to be able to serve you in such a special way. I am truly grateful for you and the blessing that you bring to this family. I love you to the moon and back my little fire cracker!!!
Love,
One lucky Mommy

happy happy birthday to one special little guy!
Love those dunking pictures! He is braver than Itty Bit, that's for sure! :)
Glad he had so much fun, and sorry it wore him out. But I bet it was worth it to him, right?
This brought tears to my eyes! You are such a great mom!
