Over at
The Photo Challenge this week is pictures from your phone.
I wanted the photo to have some kind of meaning, even if it did come from my phone.
I had to pick this one.
It is from Bubba's first two surgeries this past summer.
We went back to his room and all he wanted was his Mommy.
Jason snapped this picture of us.
"Dear God, give me the strength to endure my blessings"

Oh, that was beyond precious. Thank you.
Every time I read your blog I want to cry - in a very good kind of way.
So moving. So beautiful.
This photo breaks my heart. I'm so sorry that your boy is sick. No child should have to endure that.
A picture sure does say a thousand words.
So precious!
Such a precious photo!
Wow! That photo speaks volumes!
Oh girlie - I was so unprepared for this and it totally made me choke up.
I have come to love your Bubba, your Regan, and their terrific parents.
This photo for me - just speaks of the love that is motherhood. And somehow, as amazing as you are, I bet that even you didn't know that someday you would love your children this deeply.
I love this shot for that reason alone. Gah... I need a hug!
My mommy makes everything better too. Very moving shot. I like the photo journalistic quality about it. (PS: Thanks for the comment : )
This photo says it all!
beautiful
no one should have to endure pain, doctors and surgeries as a kid. You are an amazing mommy and he is one lucky boy to have you! Fantastic photo with so much heartfelt emotion.
Great photo! Shows such strength on your part! What a great mama!
Thanks for checking out my Cell Phone challenge photo and leaving a comment! It's always appreciated!
This photo is an easy contest winner. Not only is the story apparent without reading a single word, but you exhibit the face of human grace. Julie, you look stunningly beautiful in this. It's as if you know you're cradling an Angel.
So sweet.
Congrats on being picked this week at I heart Faces! I hate that it is a picture of Bubba in obvious misery, but the picture is beautiful. I didn't comment on it earlier because Rachel's comments are always so good and then I feel like a big dummy for saying something like, "Nice shot!" Anyways, congrats again.
Congratulations on your win this week.
I am so sorry for all that you must go through. I love that quote at the top of your blog. Thank you for the inspiration.
Oh I am doing the happy dance! Because you made Top Ten this week - like i knew you would! And because more people will see your picture and love your family like I do!
Did you hear me squealing from over there? :)
Love you guys - give Bubba hugs from his Itty Bit over here!
i am here from i heart faces. this photo elicited such a strong, moving reaction from me. it is beautiful. i can't stop crying when i see it. great capture.
Visiting with you tonight has been an unbelievable blessing...thank you. I'm saying a prayer for all of you now. And, especially for you Mama. I have a Bubba in my little family, too, but can't even begin to imagine what your days are like. Prayer is all I can offer. (And, maybe some warm hugs from GA. It was 70 today.) XXXX!
This is an incredibly touching, beautiful picture. You are an inspirational Mommy! I will keep you all in my prayers!
Georgia :)
I am so glad you submitted this photo. It is hard to see a child obviously hurting, but it is also a blessing to see a strong family full of love supporting each other and enjoying life each and every day. I can't imagine your photo not being in the top ten. :) Glad to have met you!
This is a really beautiful, touching photo.
Awww, this is such a moving picture. I hope he's feeling better.
This photo made me cry instantly. The way he is curled up in your arms speaks volumes! My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
An amazing photo.
Amazing photo!
We have a son with a cleft lip and palate, so we have many hospital photos as well. I don't "like" them, but they are a part of the story of our family. The same goes for your family, I'm sure.
i don't know if you get email updates on new comments but i am totally bawling over this one. i think this is one of the most beautiful pictures i have ever seen and if you don't mind i may add it to a blog post.
Poor boy!
Congrats on making Top 10 Most Memorable Photos!! This was well-deserved... I had to click over to look at the photo more, because it really got me. Beautiful, and heartbreaking.

This is breathtaking!
Unbelievably touching.
This is beautiful and really melts my heart. May God truly give you strength, His Peace and eyes to see like He sees in all circumstances.
Oh my...can't hold back the tears.
I'm not sure a picture has ever moved me to tears... until this one. There is nothing like a mother's love... or a son's for his mother.
the expression on your face is priceless. this picture literally moved me to tears.
