Dr. Seuss's The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins, just about everything in our big book of Fairy Tales, and later, Half Magic by Edward Eager. NOW, I love the Llama books: Llama Llama, Red Pajama, Llama Llama, Mad at Mama, Llama Llama, Christmas Drama. If you have the Tuesday Morning chain of stores out there, they always have really neat children's books at GREAT prices. I buy them for my grandkids and for St. Louis Children's Hospital-- a $17 hardcover book will cost around $4. As a former teacher, I LOVE seeing kids read for enjoyment and read to others. Good for Regan! What a great thing to do for Bubba, and it will make her a stronger reader at the same time!

I loved "Goggles" and used to read it to my boy too, when he was little. The other day, I pulled it out after years and read it to him and he actually remembered certain words that he used to cry out when he was little. He did it all over again. SO cute!
