Because she needs me too....

Jason had the day off from work on Thursday. So, I took Regan and got away just the two of us. We talked, we laughed, we went for a walk, and we played at the park. She is mastering the monkey bars and she LOVES the merry go round. When Collin is sick most of  my time goes to taking care of him BUT I have to make sure to find moments, as little as they might be, to spend time with Regan. She is aware that something is going on with Bubba and that there have been a ton of doctor apts. and tests. We talked about what is going to happen with Bubba and that Mommy and Daddy will have to be gone alot with Bubba when he has to go to the hospital. I tried to explain things the best that I could with out scarying her. She understands that Bubba needs these surgeries to help him feel better. She told me that she wants to bring him balloons and then started listing all of his "favorites" that we would need to bring.... his DVD player, his puppy that sings, his pictures of disney land.... and the list went on. She is such a sweet girl.

At times it is a fine balancing act... making sure Collin is safe and healthy and making sure that Regan gets the time and attention that she needs.  Collin's surgeries have been scheduled and when we are not at pre ops apts or getting lab work done you better believe that we will be playing as a family! We have big plans for this week and I am looking forward to making some fun memories with both of my sweet children!
