Didn't go exactly how I had hoped.....

This morning we made it to the hospital and went to the infusion wing first. Got Collin's line going {after a LOT of work}. Can I just tell you what a brave boy I have. He did not cry or ever complain once, even with the multiple nurses and attempts. He doesn't like being held down... but he ALWAYS does so well. Having his special friend... the DVD player helps make everything better. After all that needed to be done with the infusion team we headed across the street with a nurse to the imagining center to have his MRI done.

When we got over there the doctor greeted me and said that "we have a problem. I was not aware that Collin has excessive secretions. I am sorry I don't feel comfortable doing a full sedation on him. I think it would be better to have him put to sleep under complete sedation with a ventilator ready because I have a feeling that he will stop breathing and need to be int abated." I looked over to see Jason FUMING mad. He walked away so that I could talk to the team and try to figure it all out. We decided to call over to the OR and see if we could pull a team from them BUT of course they were not able to send any over. :( Mind you this entire time my sweet little boy is starving and has his line in with his little arm boarded up. So, at the end of the day all we walked away with from the imaging center was a new appointment.
Collin was very tired from the entire thing but as always I was AMAZED by him once again. After we got home, rested, and got him cleaned I took him to the store. We had to pick up his medications. So, when this little boy wanted a thing of bubbles I just couldn't say no......

and when he wanted two things of bubbles I just couldn't say no......

and when he wanted two things of bubbles and a bubble maker I just couldn't say no.
What can I say the kid LOVES bubbles! wink!

Once again my little boy has shown me how strong and wonderful he is. At the end of the day Mommy was tired and frustrated, Daddy was still mad that his baby boy wasn't being taken care of, and sweet Bubba was blowing everyone kisses as we left. He is my HERO!!!!

I hate that he had to have an iv for no reason... I hope he had fun with all of the bubbles. My little brother had that bubble maker, he used it so much it broke:)

My poor, sweet, wonderfully forgiving nephew. I love that little boy. My heart hurts that he went through so much unnecessarily today, only to have to go back and do it all again. Please give him a HUGE hug and kiss from Aunt Michelle! What a trooper. Hang in there, sis.

Oh, that sweet-heart! I just can't handle his little bubble request. I'm so sorry Julie. That is all SO frustrating!

Oh yeah, if that kiddo wants bubbles, he should get bubbles! Poor guy, but he sounds like such a trooper. I'm sorry that you guys had to deal with that today. Sometimes medical people just don't seem to get it or understand.

With so many prayers going up for Collin, there is probably a reason we aren't even aware of regarding why they didn't do it. Sure do love that boy!

Tiny bubbles in the air...make me happy every where! Or something like that; from an old song by Dean Martin, I think. You should try to find it. I bet Collin would love to hear it while he watches his bubbles!
