A week in the life of my {HERO}

Bubba did so good this past week. He is such a trooper and constantly amazed me with his strength. Collin's surgeries went as planned. They ended up removing a bone from his nose and then clearing it out as well as removing his adnoids. When they were doing this they took cultures and found that he has the bacteria for strep and staff in his nose growing. So, that means a BIG does of antibotics. Collin's feeding tube surgery went well also. They had to place it in a different place than they had planned becuase of blockage. The hardest part was that after getting the tube in and starting giving Bubba feeds he came down with re-feed syndrome. (also known as the refugee syndrome) Collin's was so malnourished and when he started getting the extra calories his sweet little body did not like it. It started having some issues. We had to be moved and suprevised carefully. Luckily they caught it early and were able to start treating it right away. It was scary.... your prayers were heard and we are so grateful for your faith . So, now that we are finally home I thought that I would update with some pictures from the week.

Sweet Bubba had a smile on his face even on the way into surgery.
After his surgery and while we were trying to get him better there were LOTS....
and LOTS.....
and LOTS of cuddles.
It was heart breaking to see him in so much pain BUT like a true Hero he
didn't complain and bounced back in a triumphant way.
It was so wonderful to see him start feeling up to visitors.
There's nothing like a kiss from your sister to make you feel better.
Regan was given a special little bear with its own "tubby" sticking out of his tummy.
She learned how to feed him and has fallen in love with this new special bear.
Bubba was so happy when he could get out of his room.  It was most often just a trip around the halls but we did manage to get him down stairs to watch a Jonas brothers cover band perform out of the hopitals own raido station Radio lollipop.
We passed some time with connect four.
We were so grateful to everyone that came by to show him some love.
It was so hard to leave this amazing view.....
As soon as they said that Bubba was healthy enough to leave we hit the door running
with a HUGE smile on our faces.

Thank you again for your love, support, and prayers. We are truly grateful.

Tyler and I were reading your blog together and Tyler commented that Collin has had to go through so many hard things, but he always has a smile on his face. He then paused and said, "I don't think I could ever do that." Collin has had quite an impact on my teenage boy.
