It is that time....

..when I think about the year 2009 and plan for 2010.

2009 was a HARD year BUT an amazing one at the same time. It was hard having Jason out of work BUT we were blessed to have him go back to school.I can not even begin to tell you how PROUD of him I am!! I am in awe of how stress... trials.... and lack of an income had NO influence of my love for this great man. It made me LOVE him more.
Collin did pretty well health wise. He has regressed in some areas BUT I will focus on the areas that he is doing well in. He has continued to AMAZE us with his strength and power to forgive. Often times he doesn't understand what we are doing to him BUT with in minutes he is blowing the nurses kisses, smiling, and happy. He is my HERO.
My baby, Regan, started kindergarten this year. She is one VERY smart little girl. She can read so well. I wish that I could take all the credit BUT it is just a gift of learning that she is blessed with. She has continued to be a "second mommy" to Collin. She loves and cares for him more than I have EVER seen a sibling do. Her heart is HUGE and her capacity to love is endless. She is one spit fire of a little girl with a DIVA/ princess inside of her.

With this wonderful year behind us, it is time to think of what is to come. I am not a big fan of new year resolutions BUT this year I am making one... well two actually.

The first is one that my dear sweet Jason has been BEGGING me to do for a while. That would be to take time to put myself first. Often times I get SO busy with everything that I don't take time to do things that I want or even NEED to do. Lifting and caring for Collin for nine years is taking it's tole on my back. Since I hurt my back the last time lifting Collin's chair it is just not the same. So, as much as I LOVE it, jogging is out of the picture. I am being forced to find a new way to exercise and hopefully strengthen my back. When I told Jason that I need a good pedicure but just don't have the time he said "GO when the kids are in school!" of course my response was "BUT I have so much to do... laundry... errands..ect." and this is why I am so grateful to be married to him. He said "Those things can wait but YOU can't... just do it!!!" I am going to ad hear to my husbands counsel and make sure that I take time for myself.

The second thing that I am going to work on this year is humbling my self to ask for HELP. There have been so many times when Collin has been sick or something was happened and a friend looked me in the eyes and asked "why didn't you call me?" I am not good at this. Shoot I even have a hard time asking family for help BUT that is something that I am going to work on.
(Don't worry I will be asking you all for help soon.. stay tuned.)

So, I told you my new year resolutions.... WHAT ARE YOURS?

Sounds like 2009 was eventful for you! And that it ended just the way it should - enjoying time with your cute family.

This post made me feel good. You are so positive and I totally admire that...maybe my goal is to be more of that. :)

Welcome, 2010!
