Hello Summer....

Today was our first offical Monday of summer break.

So, what else is there to do but ....

have a party of course!

We started our party off with food.

You can't ever go wrong with food. 

Then things got a little wild and the clothing started to come off! 

Today was one of the first warm days of summer and the kids were EXCITED! 

We put the pool in the shade so that Bubba could go in too.

Pool + no sun = COLD pool 

Then it was time for the slip n slide!! 

Bubba LOVES the slip n slide.

(his board shorts came off :) 

A few friends stuck around to watch a movie... 

and play on the computer.

I know I have said it before but I LOVE how much Thyssen loves Bubba. 

Then these wise guys showed up and tryed to cause trouble. 

I thought I was going to have to call the cops on them. 

and this one.... well he was the biggest trouble maker!!!

We have a fun filled summer planned and are ready to PLAY!!!!

It was a Sad, Sad day...........

This morning was the very last flag ceremony at Buffum Elementary.

It was different than any other morning assembly we have ever had.

There were tears.........

MANY, MANY tears........

Even the sky cried at the thought of Buffum closing. 

Good byes were said......

and hugs and kisses were shared. 

Boxes were packed and ready to go......... 

and the doors to Buffum Elementary have been closed.

To all of the AMAZING staff at Buffum......

THANK YOU!!

Saying Good Bye

Today my sweet, baby boy graduated from 5th Grade.

He is now a BIG junior high boy.... gulp......well, as of tomorrow.

Not sure if I am ready for this BUT here it is.

I couldn't help but cry a couple times today just

 thinking about how far he has come.

Jason and I are so VERY proud of him!!!!

Bubba is blessed with the BEST teacher and aids anyone could ask for.

And how does Bubba feel about saying good bye??

Well, he doesn't like that idea.

When everyone was clapping Bubba got overwhelmed and started to cry.

A Dad from the back yelled out "It's ok baby... let it out... let it out!"

and he did :(

These three amigos have been together for a LONG time.

Bubba and Emily have been together since

 they were 18 months old in pre school.

They will all be going to the same junior high together.

(yes, I won that fight with the district and he IS going to the school we want him in!) 

Later in the day Regan recieved an award for honor roll.

We are so proud of our little girl!!!!

Tomorrow is the last day of school and Buffum school will be closing.

It is a sad day and it will be a HARD one.

Tonight Regan sat in her bed crying at the thought

 of having to say good bye to her school BFF.

These two have been BFF's for 3 years.

Regan will be going to a different school than her next year

and she is so broken up about the thought of not

 being at the same school next year.

Bubba will be heart broken to say good bye to his BFF as well.

Bubba's Ms. Sherril has been his second mom and BFF every day at school.

It will be hard to say good bye for Bubba and for Mommy.

buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks

I don't care if I ever get back

it is root root root for BUBBA....

Today was a fun baseball filled day.

It started off with the 5th graders vs. the teachers baseball game. 

Bubba had fun and had an amazing helper.

{we are not ready to say good bye to his teacher.}

Then after a long day at the park with Regan's class

and a nice sun burn it was off for more baseball.

For Father's day we go Jason a new Red's Jersey

{that didn't get here in time}

and got him front row field tickets to the Red's vs the Dodgers game. 

Right when Nana and Pa Pa got to our home to

 babysit Bubba started to have seizures.

I had such a hard time leaving him but Nana and Pa Pa had

 it all under control and Bubba stopped seizing and they

 were sending me updates constantly with pictures.

They knew that I was WORRIED and their messages made

it possible for us to relax and enjoy the game.

Three cheers for the best in laws in the WORLD!!!! 

I had so much fun with my best friend on our date!!! 

Three cheers for the BEST Daddy in the world!!!!

{Oh, I LOVE him!!!!!}

To make the night perfect the Red's won the game!!!! 

Then we hurried home to find out sweet boy wide awake and happy as can be.
