Next on Bubba's list..........

Skeet ball!!!!!!!
We all know that Bubba LOVES skeet ball....
Loves it enough to kiss the ball.
He has his own style of playing, more like shooting a basket ball than rolling it.
He LOVES to watch his BIG sister play.
Skeet Ball makes him SMILE! :)

After some fun playing we went to see some SPECIAL
people that we haven't seen in a while.
The kids adopted Aunt Jeri.....
and Grandma Pat.
Bubba kept giving her HUGS!!!
Our visit made him SMILE!
Two more wonderful things marked off Bubba's list.
(the next adventure on Bubba's list is my favorite!
can't wait to share it with you!)

Bubba's list.....

We decided to dedicate this week to Bubba's list.
Yes, I know that Bubba can not speak or tell us what he wants to do
BUT
we know our Bubba well and Regan and I put together a list just right for him!
This summer has been hard, my back is aching, my body is tired, and
at times I just want to stay at home all day and do nothing
BUT
then I think of the sweet memories we would miss out on.
I think of my friends that would love to still have their children here on earth to play with.
I think about the day when I will be that Mommy.... I don't want to let one day go by wasted!

At the top of the list....
Disney land of course!!!!!
We were lucky enough to have Nana and Uncle Bryan come play with us.
It was a perfectly cloudy, cool, and Bubba kind of day!!!

Our adventure...........

This morning the kids and I had fun on our adventure.
We went to check out a place for an up coming shoot.
While we were there I managed to get a couple quick shots of the kids.
Regan went and saw Marry Poppins the Musical with Nana and PaPa this weekend.
Mary is now her new favorite obsession.
Notice her parrot umbrella :)
Oh, and she also has a magic carpet bag as well.

I smiled because...........

Last week there were many things that made me smile.....
We went to Disneyland and renewed our passes.
For Bubba's birthday every year our sweet family and friends pitch in to help get our family's passes so that we can take Bubba to get a big dose of magical medicine any time he needs it.
I smiled watching my sweet little boy's smile on Splash Mt.!
Let's just zoom in on that shot..... Yes, he LOVES roller coasters!
I also smiled watching the orange shirt lady......
Look at her in the first photo with her hands up...
now look at her in the second. :)

I smiled when I saw the new cool ramp at the bowling alley!!!
Bubba loved it!
Ok, all of the kids LOVED it!
I smiled at this cute little face.
I LOVE any chance I get to hold a baby.

I smile every time I go on a train with these two special kids!
I always smile when we go through the tunnel and we yell!!!!!
I smiled at the thought that in 9 years Regan will be driving and be able to help get Bubba to school.
Ok, maybe I should not be happy about that last one. wink!

"Bubba has too many girlfriends....."

Tuesday we met up with some friends to play at the Aquarium of the Pacific. We have not seen these friends for a while. You see, sweet little Bailey had to have major surgery on her back {a metal rod put down her back}. Then she got very sick after the surgery, it was very scary. So, we were beyond excited when she was able to come out and play!!!! While we were walking through the Aquarium Regan looked up at me and said "Bubba has too many girlfriends..". I just smiled and couldn't help but giggle a bit. He does have a lot of girlfriends... young and old. Hey, how can you not just LOVE Bubba. :)
Not only did Bubba and Bailey get to see each other
but Regan and Brooke were so excited to catch up.
When the girls were little there were "issues" in the Bubba and Bailey's class.
So, Bailey's wonderful Mommy and I would trade off volunteering in the
classroom while the other watched the younger sister. Our girls had so
much fun and were together all the time.  Then before we new it Regan and
Brooke were both in pre-school and play dates became few and far between.

By the end of our time together at the Aquarium the
girls had planned a play date for next week!
I love their special little friendship and the fact that
neither of them are bothered by drool. wink!

{proud}

This summer has been a big one for Regan, a summer of discovery! She has not only learned to swim but wait for it.... wait for it...... she is now a BIG bike rider. She wanted a new bike for Christmas but when Daddy told her that "it won't have training wheels." she didn't like that idea and quickly changed her wish list. A few weeks ago while we were having one of Bubba's home visits Regan went to play at a friends house. While at this friends home she discovered that riding a BIG bike wasn't so scary after all, she even managed to stay up for a few seconds. When she got home she told Mommy and Daddy that "I NEED a new bike... I just have to have one!!!!" We agreed but then told her that she needed to buy it herself. She went to the store with Daddy and picked out the perfect one, it was $80. She came home and counted out her money.... "I only have $30 ... this is going to take forever!!!"

This is where her little business woman skills kicked in. I had been trying for a long time to get her to get rid of some toys that she has out grown. Then she asked..."Can I sell my kitchen??" I told her that she could, this was one of the items I was trying to get her to part with. She had me take a picture then I posted the picture on FB with her asking price of $50. With in five minutes the kitchen was sold!!! She was beyond excited!!! The next day our friends came to pick up the kitchen and she had the last of her bike money. She went with her Daddy to the store to buy her perfect bike.
She was a natural and with a little help from Daddy she was ridding her bike by herself in no time!
{side note: after putting on all of her saftey gear she looked at my and said "coach
 would be so proud!" if you know Coach then you know why this is too funny.}

In no time at all she had left us all in her dust............
Bubba and I ran to try to catch her.
{side note: running, while pushing a wheel chair, and taking a picture... not easy.}
After some fun bike ridding we headed over to feed the ducks.
Bubba LOVES to throw the bread at the ducks.

This is when I really became a proud Mommy.....
Regan came over and gave Bubba the last piece of bread, with out being asked. :)
I can't even begin to tell you how proud I am of my little seven year old girl.

I am proud that she found a way to buy the bike herself.
I am proud that she so quickly became an offical bike rider.
I am proud of what an amazing big sister she is.
I am proud to be her Mommy!
