What to do....

I had a problem.... this basket next to our back door. It holds some extra keys, and for the most part... junk that we throw in it. It is ugly, BIG, and broken. So, I did what I always do on a {limited crafting budget} and looked around our home.

That is when I spotted this beauty...

OK, not so great looking right??

So, with a coat of paint, some fabric, "vintage looking"

lace, ric rac, a couple hooks, a flower and walla....

I made this fun little thing. First I painted over the words. Second I covered it in fabric...{a shirt that I washed once and shrunk!!}. Third attach some fun ric rac. Fourth attach the lace for a pocket {this was from something else that was washed wrong.} NOTE TO SELF: Don't ever by anything again that says "hand wash only" .... it is just a recipe for disaster. Fifth attach two hooks to the bottom to hold keys. Lastly make a flower out of some linen I had laying around.

Total cost for this project...... 0$$$... I KNOW!!!! I love my little key holder... board thing. wink! It looks so much better in person.....my cheap little camera just doesn't do it justice. :)
