Finding the silver lining in dark clouds

Yesterday we were eating Sunday dinner at Jason's parents house when Collin started acting out of sorts. So, we hurried up and left. We don't live far but before we even got home Collin started having seizures in the car. He had seizures for the rest of the night. I HATE watching my baby boy in pain. There isn't anything worse than feeling helpless. Luckily we were able to stop his seizures with oral meds and I didn't have to give him an injection. Most of the night was spent cuddling. When Collin woke up this morning he was feeling better! I always keep him home with me after bad nights. So, even though he was doing wonderful this morning I kept him home from school. Since we woke up to such a beautiful cloudy day we decided to play. (For those of that don't know Collin is allergic to the sun.) We LOVE cloudy and rainy days at our house!!! We call them Collin days. Where else would we go but Disney Land! Collin LOVES Disney Land. It is such a wonderful escape from the pain for him. His face lights up as soon as we walk through the gates and his smile is endless when he sees his favorite rides. I love seeing everything through his eyes... he is "normal" (what ever normal means) even if only for a moment. What do I mean by that? Well, when we are at Disney all I see is a little boy. I do not see his handicaps or all of the pain that he has to bear on a daily basis. He is just a boy.... a happy little boy. I am so grateful for the good times that we had today! The good times are what get up through the hard ones! So, thank you Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and the gang. Thank you for bringing so much joy into one little boy's life!!!

I am so glad Collin has a place where he can escape and feel happy normal! Yay for disneyland:) Anyway.. Mike has a his second and final interview in a couple of weeks. The company was so impressesd with his first ..that they decided he doesn't need the third interview, which he would normally would have. This interview would be more going over pay and such. SO ..Mike could be hired on as of dec 1st or jan 1st. I hope January... so the holidays are out of the way. Thanks you Julie~ for your sweet and wonderful inpiring posts:) Big hugs~ suz
