Today I smiled.........

While looking at these pictures Regan looked up and said

"Mommy, {pause} I want to get me a baby from China....

Just like Aunt Nancy. Do you think they will let me take

a baby when I am big?"

With tears in my eyes I responded

"Sweety they would be crazy not to let you."

She had so much fun with all of her cousins this weekend but

she paid extra attention to sweet little Kai. It was very rare to find them apart.

If Regan was not in sight Kai would stand at the bottom of the stairs yelling...

"Regy.... REGY.... REGY!!!!!" He has a limited vocabulary BUT he

sure knows how to say Regy! I hope that this special bond between the two

of them lasts forever!!!

Happy Birthday Uncle Bubba

I had such an AMAZING weekend with my family!!!

BUT before I get into all of that fun I need to do something....

I want to wish a Happy Birthday to my wonderful Bubba!!!!

Uncle Bubba,

You sure make an amazing flipper.... {Ok, so maybe I made that word up}

And most of the time you are pretty good at catching. 

You are always so sweet when the kids say "MORE!!" 

You make a pretty good punching bag......

and you are pretty awesome at a game of chase. 

Don't forget capturing wild animals... oh, I mean children. :) 

AGAIN, no one can throw like Uncle Bubba. 

Oh, and those dance moves.

{I don't think the children will ever be the same again! wink!}

BUT don't let this big guy fool you.....

deep down he is a big softy.

He always gives great hugs!

He is the best big Bubba a girl could ask for. 

You are my favorite brother....

{ok, you are my only brother :)}

We {heart} Art

This morning I had the privilege to go with this wonderful little man of mine and his sweet friends on a field trip to the Long Beach Museum of Art. The BIG kids in his class {5th graders} were invited to go along with the Gen. Ed. 5th graders from their school.

One of the best parts of the day for Bubba was the bus ride. Bubba's  mean ol' Mommy

wont let him ride the bus to school..... so this was AWESOME! wink! 

We started our morning at the Museum by making our own art.

{Bubba was not into this part so we walked around} 

Then it was time to look at some amazing works of Art. 

I could not believe how much Bubba enjoyed it!!!

All of our special kids did GREAT. 

It was a wonderful day with some amazing kids!!!!!

Can't wait until our next adventure with Bubba's class!

A long over due trip to.....

see some old friends.

This morning while folding laundry I couldn't help but think about how LONG it has been since we have been to Disneyland... wink! So, I sent my dear friend Katie and message and we had a date. When I picked the kids up from school I surprised them and we set out to meet up with our friends.

With in minutes of walking through the front

 gates we were reunited with friends like....

PLUTO 

Oh, yes and don't forget our friends the Andersens! 

 And there was Woody and the green Army guy.

 We parted ways with our friends and

then it was time for some special Mommy time.

I love days like this!

We took our family pictures the other day.

It was a bit of a struggle and we might just have to try again

OR

maybe I could just send out these wonderful pictures out of the Photo booth.

Hmmmmm......

I'm not THAT kind of Gal but if I were...........

I am not THAT kind of Gal that would ever use an air horn to get my son's attention

BUT if I were ....................

I am THAT kind of Gal but if I were I would tell you that we took our family pictures last Saturday and an air horn works great to get our profoundly deaf son's attention.

If I were THAT kind of Gal than I might  just tell you that I didn't care how many people we annoyed because every time we hit the horn he smiled BIG :)

I am not that kind of Gal but if I were I would tell you that we are never taking a family picture with out an air horn handy from now on BUT since I am not THAT kind of Gal I guess there isn't anything else to say here.
