my BABY will be TEN years old!!!!
(gasp)
What is it about ten that just sounds so old, so big???
Maybe it's the fact that now he will be in the double digits.

It seems like just yesterday I recieved the BEST wedding present EVER, a sweet little baby.(There must have been something in the water in Mexico on our honeymoon... wink!) I was young, a baby myself in so many ways. I was excited and had no idea of what to expect. My pregnancy was HARD to put it mildly. I was on bed rest early on and had one health issue after another. (We have since learned that kids with TTD cause their Mommy's health problems during pregnancy.) I was told at one point that they thought our little baby would have Downs Syndrome but after testing..... a LONG needle being stuck into my little belly, we were informed that our baby was PERFECT in every way. :) He came two months early and indeed he was PERFECT in every way. We didn't really notice the red skin, how tiny he was, or his lack of breathing.... to us he was PERFECT. It was scary but we soon found out how strong our little Bubba truly was. I could not go to see him becuase of my health, I had seizures and complications after his birth.... bummer I know. You know what, I would do it again in a heart beat!!!!! They could not bring him to see me because of all of his health issues. So, I had to look at my baby in pictures. I was so happy when I was finally able to go and see him. He was so tiny and sweet. It was hard and at times BUT he proved OVER and OVER what a fighting spirit he has. We were told to be prepared to say good bye and that he most likely wouldn't live past one year. Well, we all know how the story ends..... TEN years later and he is here with us loving and living life every second!!!! I never knew how somone so tiny could change my life in such a HUGE way. He helped me grow up and become the Mommy that he needed. He has taught me so much about life, courage, forgivness, strength, love, faith, and joy. He is my HERO.
You better believe that we will be Having a HUGE bash for our little fire cracker on the 4th of July, on his birthday.
