It is great to be eight!!

Jesus came to John the Baptist,

in Judeah long ago,

And was baptized by immersion

In the river Jordan's flow.

"To fulfill the law," said Jesus

When the Baptist questioned why

"And to enter with my Father

In the Kingdom up on high."

Now we know that we must also,

Witness faith in Jesus' world,

Be baptized to show obedience,

As was Jesus Christ, our Lord.

We gathered as one big family to celebrate Gavin and his decision to be baptized.

It was a beautiful day.

It was wonderful to be with family.

After we all went to Jason's parents home to have some yummy food and celebrate Gavin's Birthday. Yes, he was baptized on his birthday!... how cool is that!

We were asked to bring sweet treats.

We brought these HUGE cupcakes that ended up being a pretty big hit!

{Birthday Magic}

For Bubba’s birthday every year we ask for the same thing from all of our family. Rather than buying him a gift, we ask them to contribute whatever they can to help buy Disney Passes for the year. This tradition started years ago when our passes expired on his birthday. When we suggested the idea to our families they all loved it because Bubba is impossible to buy for. So, this took the burden off of them in trying to find the perfect gift that would inevitably be returned to the store. If you have ever been with us to Disneyland then you know that there truly isn’t a better gift for him. He LOVES being there and never tires of riding the same rides over and over again. Each time we go it is as if it were the first as he sits there filling with excitement while he waits for the ride to start. I LOVE it!!! At Disneyland his disabilities and pain disappear and all that I see is a “normal” little ten year old boy enjoying the magic of Disney. Our family was VERY generous this year and we could not be more grateful for their gift to Bubba and our little family. THANK YOU, THANNK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! It makes my heart smile to know how loved he is and how much they just want to see him happy. We have the privilege of going for the first time with our new passes this past Thursday. As soon as we started to exit to Disneyland Drive Bubba started to shake with excitement. He knew right where we were going and he was beyond thrilled!!! Thank you again we are so lucky to have a family like ours!!!!

 Bubba threw his hat off of Casey Jr. while we were ridding it. They were soooo sweet to him!!! The gal went out and got it and when she saw what bad shape it was in she offered to give us a voucher for a new Disney hat. We said no because we felt it wasn't right since Bubba did it. This sweet cast member insisted and Bubba got a new cool Disney hat. (didn't get a pic of it.) She also sprinkled pixy dust on him to help him with his next surgery. :)

Later that night it was time for girls night and it was at my home. We were treated to frozen yogurt, lots of laughs, and fun games. I LOVE spending time with all of these wonderfrul gals!! Thanks... until next time!

we invited everyone to come and Bowl with us for

Family Home Evening.

We seperated into two teams...

{We found these cool hats in the dollar bin at Target

 and knew they would come in handy one day. wink!}

The second we pulled up to the bowling

 alley he started shaking he was so excited!

What can I say...

It was nail biting the entire time!

We owe it all to this guy!!!

The fun did not end there with the awesome cousins.

On Tuesday all of the kids went to

the movies with Nana and Papa and saw Toy Story 3.

Bubba and I got some good cuddle time together.

On Wednesday Miss Vesta came to take care of Bubba.

So, we took advantage of it.

Regan, Daddy, and I met up with everyone

for some fun in the sun at the beach.

It was COLD!!

 I think Regan was one of the only

 ones to get into the water.

It was so much fun and I enjoyed watching the

 fun from my seat with my zoom lense on.. wink!

Nope, the fun did not end there.

{Wow, I didn't realize how behind I was until I started playing catch up.. wink!}

I {LOVE} being busy...

Well, with fun things that is.

{I can do with out the dr. apts. and all of that yucky stuff.}
We have been busy, Good busy!!!

We treated our friends to a morning at the Aquarium last Monday.
I LOVE this family.
Jason and Skippy have been friends for over twenty years.
Katie and I hit it off right away and she is always down to play with us!!!
Regan and Belen are total BFF's and cry when they can't spend more time together.
Thy and Bubba have a sweet friendship and have a common love of trains.
Baby G... Well, Baby G is just the Cherry on top of it all!!! :)
(and she will not be to old to wear hairbows for a while... wink!)

Regan showed off her Sea Lion skills to her friends
 and taught them how to play with them.

Then it was time to go and say hi to the birds.

Baby G fell asleep so Katie waited outside for us and I took all of the kids in.

With in no time at all Regan had a "friend".

I had no idea how nervous Ty and Belen were

going to be around our Birdy friends.

They worked up the courage to feed the birds

BUT they would not let the birds on them.

{maybe next time.. wink!}

Bubba was very proud of them!!!

It was beautiful and cloudy.

(Am the only person alive that says that??)

So, we decided to go for a walk.

and from there we were off to our next adventure.cc
